Description: Manages secure shell daemon (SSH) and security services configuration on Dell switches.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Dell-SECSD-MIB?

Dell-SECSD-MIB is a Dell (Radlan-based firmware) proprietary MIB managing Security Sensitive Data (SSD) access control — governing which management channels (CLI, web, etc.) may read sensitive data like usernames and passwords. Its rules table, keyed by user, records channel, read/permit-read flags, default/owner flags, and status, a management-sessions table records session ID, user level/name, and channel, and further objects cover session control/current-session ID, a passphrase, file-passphrase/file-integrity control, configuration-file digest values, and a file indicator. As a configuration/security MIB it lets an administrator confirm which management channel is permitted to read sensitive configuration data and verify configuration-file integrity via digest. It is deployed on Dell (Radlan-based firmware) managed switches. Engineers can download the Dell-SECSD-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Dell-SECSD-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Dell (Radlan-based firmware) managed switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks rlSecSdRulePermitRead per channel to confirm which management interfaces can read sensitive data, and rlSecSdConfigurationFileDigest to verify configuration-file integrity on a Dell switch.

What Can Be Monitored
