What Is Dell-MIR-MIB?

Dell-MIR-MIB is a Dell-branded proprietary MIB (built on RADLAN/Marvell embedded switch software, shared across several OEM-rebranded switch lines) configuring MIR (Multiple Image Registration/mirroring resource) instances. It exposes a MIB-version identifier, maximum MIR-instance counts before and after a reset, the current instance count, a per-interface MIR-ID assignment table, and a VLAN-scoped reserved-ports table. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm how many MIR instances are in use against the switch's maximum and which interfaces are assigned to which MIR ID. It is deployed on Dell-branded managed Ethernet switches built on this shared switch platform. Engineers can download the Dell-MIR-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Dell-MIR-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
