What Is Dell-ENDOFMIB-MIB?

Dell-ENDOFMIB-MIB is a small structural Dell private MIB whose sole purpose is to mark the logical end of Dell's enterprise MIB OID tree with a single sentinel object. It contains no meaningful runtime data, configuration, or trap definitions, only a placeholder object used by MIB compilers and browsers for tree navigation. Because it exposes no monitorable state, it plays no role in monitoring hardware or software status; it is purely an organizational artifact of Dell's private MIB numbering scheme. It has no functional dependency on other MIBs beyond its position within the standard Dell enterprise OID hierarchy. It appears only in Dell/EMC device MIB packages as a bookkeeping module, never as something an operator would poll directly. Engineers can download the Dell-ENDOFMIB-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Dell-ENDOFMIB-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Dell/EMC networking devices (MIB tooling artifact, not device-specific monitoring)

Monitoring Examples

This module defines no runtime data objects; its only content, rndEndOfMib, is a sentinel/placeholder used by MIB browsers to mark the end of Dell's OID tree, so no monitoring scenario applies here.
