Description: Manages DHCP server configuration, pools, and lease assignments on Dell network switches.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Dell-DHCP-MIB?
Dell-DHCP-MIB is a Dell proprietary MIB (built on Dell-BRIDGEMIBOBJECTS-MIB) supporting the switch's built-in DHCP relay/server. Its objects cover a MIB version, DHCP-relay max/current non-IP-VLAN counts, relay enable/exists flags, a next-server table (IP address, security threshold, row status), an interface table (ifIndex, use-giaddr flag, row status), an interface-list table (index, port list, VLAN-ID bitmaps across four 1024-VLAN ranges), and DHCP-server enable/exists flags. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm DHCP relay/server enablement and next-server assignment on a Dell switch. It is deployed on Dell switching equipment (DHCP relay/server). Engineers can download the Dell-DHCP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Dell-DHCP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Dell switching equipment (DHCP relay/server)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks rlDhcpRelayEnable and rlDhcpRelayNextServerIpAddr to confirm DHCP relay configuration on a Dell switch.
What Can Be Monitored
- DHCP relay/server enablement and next-server assignment
