Category: Domain: Security, Technology: Bridging, Vendor: Dell

Description: Manages bridge security features including MAC locking and port security on Dell switches.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Dell-BRIDGE-SECURITY?

Dell-BRIDGE-SECURITY is a Dell (Radlan-based firmware) proprietary MIB implementing DHCP Snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, and IP Source Guard. Its objects cover MIB version, snoop enable, file-persistence enable, a clear-entries action, file-update time, MAC-address-verification flag, current entry count, Option 82 insertion enable and receive-on-untrusted enable, a static-binding table (VLAN tag, MAC address, IP address, port, row status), and a dynamic snoop-binding table (VLAN tag, MAC address, type, lease time, IP address, port, row status). As a configuration/security MIB it lets an administrator confirm DHCP snooping bindings and Option 82 policy on a Dell switch to prevent DHCP/ARP spoofing. It is deployed on Dell (Radlan-based firmware) managed switches. Engineers can download the Dell-BRIDGE-SECURITY file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Dell-BRIDGE-SECURITY. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Dell (Radlan-based firmware) managed switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks rlIpDhcpSnoopTable and rlIpDhcpOpt82InsertionEnable to confirm DHCP snooping bindings and Option 82 policy on a Dell switch.
