dvbRcsNetworkOamInetAddress

Module: DVB-RCS-MIB

OID (symbolic): DVB-RCS-MIB::dvbRcsNetworkOamInetAddress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.239.1.1.2.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InetAddress

Access: read-write

Description: OAM IP Address of the RCST. This object is used with both IP and interfaces MIB-II subgroups. It uniquely determines the interface through which OAM traffic passes. The OAM IP address may be statically or dynamically assigned. It is system dependent whether the OAM IP address and the Traffic IP address are the same address. If the terminal has no OAM Internet address assigned or if this Internet address is unknown, the value of this object is the zero-length OCTET STRING. The InetAddressType is given by the dvbRcsNetworkOamInetAddressType object.

What is dvbRcsNetworkOamInetAddress?

The IP address the terminal uses for operations-and-maintenance (OAM) traffic; an admin reads or sets this to know or change which address the NCC's management system should target when talking to this terminal, distinct from its regular data traffic address.
