What is manufacturer?
This string reports the manufacturer of the system, as maintained by the DMI Service Provider's ComponentID group. Admins read it as the vendor identity field when inventorying assets or filing a hardware support ticket. For example, an SNMP query might return "Compaq" or "Dell" for a given managed server.
