copySrcFileType

Module: DELL-NETWORKING-COPY-CONFIG-MIB

OID (symbolic): DELL-NETWORKING-COPY-CONFIG-MIB::copySrcFileType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.5.1.1.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DellNetConfigFileType

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies the type of file to copy from.

if the copySrcFileType is runningConfig(2) or startupConfig(3), the default DellNetConfigFileLocation is flash(1).

If the copySrcFileType has the value of dellNetFile(1), it is expected that the copySrcFileLocation and copySrcFileName must also be spcified. The three objects together will uniquely identify the source file.

What is copySrcFileType?

This read-write object selects the source file type for a Dell Networking config-copy request, choosing among dellNetFile, runningConfig, or startupConfig. An administrator sets it before triggering a copy operation to tell the switch what kind of file it is reading from; if set to dellNetFile, the paired copySrcFileLocation and copySrcFileName objects must also be filled in to fully identify the file. For example, setting copySrcFileType to runningConfig(2) together with copyDestFileType startupConfig(3) copies the switch's active configuration into its startup configuration.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.5.1.1.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DELL-NETWORKING-COPY-CONFIG-MIB::copySrcFileType

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.5.1.1.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DELL-NETWORKING-COPY-CONFIG-MIB::copySrcFileType.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.5.1.1.1.1.2.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> copySrcFileType.1
