phivSystemState

Module: DECnet-iv

OID (symbolic): DECnet-iv::phivSystemState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.18.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This represents the operational state of the executor node. The possible states are: ON Allows logical links. OFF Allows no new links, terminates existing links, and stops routing traffic through. SHUT Allows no new logical links, does not destroy existing logical links, and goes to the OFF state when all logical links are gone. RESTRICTED Allows no new incoming logical links from other nodes.

NOTE: These values are incremented by one compared to the standard DECnet values in order to maintain compliance with RFC 1155).

What is phivSystemState?

Sets or reports the operational state of this DECnet node: On allows new logical links, Off tears down existing links and stops routing traffic, Shut lets existing links finish naturally before going Off, and Restricted blocks new incoming links from other nodes while leaving existing ones alone. An admin sets this to Shut before a planned maintenance window so current sessions drain gracefully instead of being cut immediately.

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.18.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DECnet-iv::phivSystemState

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.18.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DECnet-iv::phivSystemState.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.18.1.1.1 i <value>
