phivRouteRoutingTimer

Module: DECnet-iv

OID (symbolic): DECnet-iv::phivRouteRoutingTimer

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.18.5.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This value determines the maximum time in seconds allowed between Routing updates on non-Ethernet circuits. When this timer expires before a routing update occurs, a routing update is forced.

What is phivRouteRoutingTimer?

Maximum seconds allowed between routing updates on non-Ethernet circuits before Routing forces one out, the counterpart to phivRouteBroadcastRouteTimer for point-to-point or other non-broadcast media. Tuning it balances how quickly topology changes propagate against routing-update overhead on slower links.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.18.5.12
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DECnet-iv::phivRouteRoutingTimer

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.18.5.12.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DECnet-iv::phivRouteRoutingTimer.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.18.5.12.1 i <value>
