Module: DECnet-iv
OID (symbolic): DECnet-iv::phivRouteMaxBuffs
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.18.5.7
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This value represents the maximum number of transmit buffers that Routing may use for all circuits.
What is phivRouteMaxBuffs?
Configures the maximum number of transmit buffers the Routing layer may use across all circuits combined. Raising it can help a heavily loaded router avoid dropping packets under burst traffic, at the cost of more memory reserved for routing.
