Description: This object specifies the flooding period for multicast traffic upon receiving Topology Change Notifications (TCN). IGMP Snooping will flood multicast traffic until dsTopoChangeFloodQueryCount number of IGMP General Queries are received by IGMP Snooping.
What is dsTopoChangeFloodQueryCount?
This sets how many IGMP General Queries (1-10) the switch waits to observe after a spanning-tree Topology Change Notification before it stops flooding multicast traffic to every port; a higher value gives receivers more time to re-join after a topology change at the cost of extra flooded traffic.
