dsFastLeaveEnabled

Module: DASAN-MCAST-MIB

OID (symbolic): DASAN-MCAST-MIB::dsFastLeaveEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.9.1.1.2.24.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates whether Fast-Leave mechanism has been configured to be enabled in the system. If Fast-Leave is enabled in the switch, IGMP Snooping will prune the port on which an IGMP leave message has been received without waiting for the Group Specific Query to timeout to determine whether there are any more hosts on that port for that group. If the value of dsV3ProcessEnabledOperStatus is 'false', this object will not have any effect.

What is dsFastLeaveEnabled?

This flag enables Fast-Leave (Immediate-Leave) for IGMP Snooping: when a port sends an IGMP Leave, the switch drops it from the group right away instead of waiting out a Group-Specific Query timeout. It has no effect if IGMPv3 processing (dsV3ProcessEnabledOperStatus) is off, and is typically used on ports with one receiver, such as an IPTV set-top box, to speed up channel changes.
