x25LLRouteAlgorithm
Module: CXX25-MIB
OID (symbolic): CXX25-MIB::x25LLRouteAlgorithm
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.29.20.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Determines the algorithm used by this logical link to choose the member to route a call to. The value set for the first member of a logical group (lowest SAP/CES combination) overrides the settings for all other members of the group. Therefore, if you want to change the route algorithm for a group you need to alter the settings of the first member only.
Options: balanced (1): Members are chosen in round-robin fashion.
prioritized (2): The first member is always chosen for routing. The second is chosen if the first is not available (disconnected or congested). The third is chosen if the first and the second are not available, etc.
Default Value: prioritized (2)
Related Objects: x25LLSapNumber x25LLSapCes
Configuration Changed: administrative
What is x25LLRouteAlgorithm?
Selects how calls are distributed to logical link members: balanced(1) round-robins between members, while prioritized(2), the default, always tries the lowest SAP/CES member first and only falls through to later members if earlier ones are unavailable or congested. Only the value set on the first (lowest SAP/CES) member of the group actually takes effect, so an admin must change the algorithm there to affect the whole group.
