frpCircuitFragmentationSize

Module: CXFrameRelay-MIB

OID (symbolic): CXFrameRelay-MIB::frpCircuitFragmentationSize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.3.2.1.18

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Determines whether fragmentation is enabled (>0), and if so, the maximum size permitted per fragment. Fragmentation occurs when the frame size (including DLCI header) exceeds the value specified for this parameter. The frame is then fragmentation into smaller fragments, each with a maximum size specified by this parameter.

Note: This object only applies to circuits which are configured for Multi-Protocol Encapsulation (MPE) support (frpCircuitMultiProtEncaps = 'enabled'), and which are associated with a sap of type 'lower' (frpSapType = 'lower').

Range of Values: 0, 64 - 1024

Default Value: 0

Configuration Changed: operative

What is frpCircuitFragmentationSize?

Enables fragmentation and sets its maximum fragment size (0 disables it, otherwise 64 to 1024 bytes); frames whose total size including the DLCI header exceeds this value are split into fragments no larger than it. It only applies to circuits with frpCircuitMultiProtEncaps enabled on a SAP whose frpSapType is 'lower', and defaults to 0.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.3.2.1.18
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CXFrameRelay-MIB::frpCircuitFragmentationSize

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.3.2.1.18.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CXFrameRelay-MIB::frpCircuitFragmentationSize.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.3.2.1.18.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> frpCircuitFragmentationSize.1
