asioSapAdmPortMaxQueueLength

Module: CXAsyncIo-MIB

OID (symbolic): CXAsyncIo-MIB::asioSapAdmPortMaxQueueLength

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.44.2.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Defines the maximum transmitter queue length, in number of buffers.

If more data requests are received from the upper layer after the queue has reached its maximum value, the data is discarded and the object asyStatOprTxSysCongestionDiscards is incremented.

You must be careful when updating this object dynamically because queued data can be lost if the size of the transmitter queue is decreased.

Range of Values: 1 - 100

Default Value: 50

Configuration Changed: Administrative

What is asioSapAdmPortMaxQueueLength?

Sets the maximum transmit queue depth in buffers (1-100, default 50) to configure for this port; exceeding it causes new data to be discarded and increments asioStatOprTxSysCongestionDiscards. Lower it carefully, since shrinking the queue on a live port can drop already-buffered data.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.44.2.1.8
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CXAsyncIo-MIB::asioSapAdmPortMaxQueueLength

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.44.2.1.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CXAsyncIo-MIB::asioSapAdmPortMaxQueueLength.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.495.2.1.6.44.2.1.8.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> asioSapAdmPortMaxQueueLength.1
