ctDhcpIfLowestaddress

Module: CTRON-DHCP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-DHCP-MIB::ctDhcpIfLowestaddress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description: This is the lowest numerical value of the IP address range that will be assigned to clients by this interface of the DHCP server. Its value must be greater or equal to ctDhcpIfNetworkAddress and less than or equal to ctDhcpIfHighestAddress.

What is ctDhcpIfLowestaddress?

ctDhcpIfLowestaddress is a read-write IP address giving the lowest numerical address in the range this interface of the DHCP server will assign to clients, and it must be greater than or equal to ctDhcpIfNetworkAddress and less than or equal to ctDhcpIfHighestAddress. An admin sets this to define the bottom boundary of the address pool available for lease on that interface's subnet. For example, setting ctDhcpIfLowestaddress to 10.10.20.10 reserves the addresses below .10 on that subnet from being handed out by DHCP, presumably for statically assigned devices.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.7
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DHCP-MIB::ctDhcpIfLowestaddress

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.7.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DHCP-MIB::ctDhcpIfLowestaddress.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.7.1 a <value>
