ctDhcpIfHighestAddress

Module: CTRON-DHCP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-DHCP-MIB::ctDhcpIfHighestAddress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description: This is the highest numerical value of the IP address range that will be assigned to clients by this interface of the DHCP server. Its value must be greater or equal to ctDhcpIfLowestaddress but remain within ctDhcpIfNetworkAddress.

What is ctDhcpIfHighestAddress?

ctDhcpIfHighestAddress is a read-write IP address giving the highest numerical address in the range this interface of the DHCP server will assign to clients, and it must be greater than or equal to ctDhcpIfLowestaddress while staying within ctDhcpIfNetworkAddress. An admin sets this to define the top boundary of the leasable address pool on that interface's subnet. For example, setting ctDhcpIfHighestAddress to 10.10.20.200 caps the DHCP pool on that subnet so addresses above .200 remain unassigned by the server, again likely reserved for static use.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.8
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DHCP-MIB::ctDhcpIfHighestAddress

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DHCP-MIB::ctDhcpIfHighestAddress.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.8.1 a <value>
