ctDhcpIfDefaultGateway

Module: CTRON-DHCP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-DHCP-MIB::ctDhcpIfDefaultGateway

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Description: This value is an DHCP option that can be passed to a client by this interface if it is requested as part of the DHCP process. This value is the IP address of the default gateway to be used by the client.

What is ctDhcpIfDefaultGateway?

ctDhcpIfDefaultGateway is a read-write IP address representing a DHCP option this interface can hand to a requesting client, specifying the default gateway address the client should use. An admin sets this so that clients receiving a lease from this interface are automatically configured with the correct gateway for that subnet, without manual configuration on each device. For example, setting ctDhcpIfDefaultGateway to 10.10.20.1 ensures every client leased an address on that subnet by this interface is told to route through 10.10.20.1 by default.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.12
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DHCP-MIB::ctDhcpIfDefaultGateway

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.12.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-DHCP-MIB::ctDhcpIfDefaultGateway.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.1.2.12.2.2.1.1.12.1 a <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ctDhcpIfDefaultGateway.1
