Description: Whether the NMS will acknowledge the enterprise specific traps.

What is sysTrapAck?

This read-write INTEGER, traps-need-acks or traps-not-acked, controls whether the NMS is expected to acknowledge the device's enterprise-specific traps. An admin sets this according to whether the management station actually in use supports SNMP trap acknowledgment. For example, setting this to traps-not-acked(2) when using an NMS that doesn't send trap acknowledgments prevents the device from endlessly retransmitting traps waiting for acknowledgments that will never arrive.
