The following values are defined:
other(1) The agent is unable to determine the backplane speed for this storage system.
ultra3(2) This storage system is capable of Ultra3 speeds.
ultra320(3) This storage system is capable of Ultra320 speeds.
sata(4) This storage system is capable of SATA speeds.
What is cpqSsBackplaneSpeed?
This read-only enumerated value reports the maximum transfer speed supported by a backplane, such as Ultra3, Ultra320, or SATA. Administrators check this before installing faster drives, since it can bottleneck the overall throughput of drives attached to that backplane. For example, a backplane reporting sata(4) supports SATA drives in addition to the older Ultra3/Ultra320 SCSI speeds.
