other(1) The Insight Agent is unable to determine the status of the non-PPP connections variable.
enabled(2) Non-PPP connections are allowed on this port.
disabled(3) Non-PPP connections are not allowed on this port. Only PPP sessions are accepted.
What is cpqSm2CommNonPppConnections?
This read-only INTEGER reports whether non-PPP connections on this port are undetermined, enabled, or disabled. An administrator cares because disabling non-PPP connections restricts the port to authenticated PPP sessions only, hardening remote access. For example, to harden a dial-up line, an admin confirms this OID reads disabled(3) so only PPP sessions are accepted.
