What is cpqSm2CntlrAlertStatus?
This read-write integer reports and controls whether Remote Insight/Integrated Lights-Out alerting is enabled: other, enabled, or disabled. It matters because it confirms whether the management card will proactively raise alerts on hardware faults instead of staying silent. For example, an admin discovers cpqSm2CntlrAlertStatus reports disabled(3) on a critical server and re-enables it via SNMP write so future hardware faults generate alerts.
