Description: SCSI Physical Drive Size in MB.
This is the size of the physical drive in megabytes. This value is calculated using the value 1,048,576 (2^20) as a megabyte. Drive manufacturers sometimes use the number 1,000,000 as a megabyte when giving drive capacities so this value may differ from the advertised size of a drive.
What is cpqScsiPhyDrvSize?
This integer reports the physical drive's capacity in megabytes, calculated using 1,048,576 bytes per MB rather than the 1,000,000 some manufacturers use for advertised capacity. An admin sizing storage or planning a RAID rebuild needs this true binary-MB figure rather than the marketing number on the drive's label. For example, a drive advertised as an 80 GB unit might report a slightly smaller phyDrvSize here because of the differing megabyte definitions.
