cpqNodeType

Module: CPQNODE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPQNODE-MIB::cpqNodeType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.20.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Indicates whether the event applies to a cartridge, node or switch.

What is cpqNodeType?

This read-only enumeration indicates whether the associated trap event applies to a cartridge, a node, a switch, or an unknown entity type within the chassis. An admin uses this to know which of the more specific index objects, cpqNodeCart or cpqNodeNode, is relevant for locating the source of a given event. For example, a trap reporting type switch(2) tells the admin the event concerns the chassis's interconnect switch module rather than a compute cartridge or node.
