What is cpqIdeAtaDiskTransferMode?

This enumerated value reports which ATA transfer mode (PIO mode 0-4 or a DMA mode) the disk is currently using to communicate with the controller. An admin checks this when diagnosing unexpectedly slow disk I/O, since a drive stuck in a slow PIO mode instead of DMA indicates a negotiation or cabling problem.
