Type: Gauge

Access: read-only

Description: Drive Array Spare Percent Rebuild.

If the spare status is building(5), then this is percent complete of of the rebuild.

The data contained on the failed physical drive must be reconstructed from the fault tolerance data and copied to the spare so that the spare can function in place of the failed drive.

When the number reaches one hundred (100), the building process is complete and the spare has replaced the physical drive.

If the value cannot be determined or a rebuild is not active, the value is set to 4,294,967,295.

What is cpqDaSparePercentRebuild?

This Gauge, valid when the spare status is building, shows the percent complete of reconstructing data from fault-tolerance information onto the spare drive, reaching 100 when the spare has fully replaced the failed drive. An admin watches this to estimate remaining time before the array returns to full fault tolerance after a drive failure. For example, cpqDaSparePercentRebuild reaching 100 tells the admin the spare has completely taken over for the failed drive and the array is once again fully redundant.
