What is cpqDaPhyDrvThrSpinUpErrs?
cpqDaPhyDrvThrSpinUpErrs is the factory-set maximum threshold for spin-up command failures on a physical drive, corresponding to the cpqDaPhyDrvSpinUpErrs counter, and is not supported on IDA, IDA Expansion, or IDA-2 controllers. This threshold sets the tolerance for actual spin-up failures, distinct from the retry-count threshold, before the drive is judged to have a serious motor problem. For example, monitoring software would flag a drive as high priority once its spin-up failure count crosses this threshold, since each failure already represents a declared drive failure.
