Description: Physical Drive Hardware Error Count Maximum Threshold.

This shows the maximum threshold of the number of times this physical drive can return a bad hardware status. The drive may be failed if retries do not work. This is not supported by the IDA, IDA Expansion, or IDA-2 controllers.

This threshold is associated with the cpqDaPhyDrvHardwareErrs object in the Physical Drive Table.

What is cpqDaPhyDrvThrHardwareErrs?

cpqDaPhyDrvThrHardwareErrs is the factory-set maximum threshold for bad-hardware-status events on a physical drive, corresponding to the cpqDaPhyDrvHardwareErrs counter, and is not supported on IDA, IDA Expansion, or IDA-2 controllers. This threshold defines how many hardware-status faults a drive can report before it's considered to be failing rather than just occasionally glitching. For example, an admin would prioritize replacing a drive whose hardware-error count has crossed this threshold over one still reporting hardware errors below it.
