Module: CPQIDA-MIB
OID (symbolic): CPQIDA-MIB::cpqDaPhyDrvRotationalSpeed
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.59
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: Drive Array Physical Drive Rotational Speed.
The following values are defined:
other(1) The agent is unable to determine the rotational speed for this drive.
rpm7200(2) The rotational speed for this drive is 7200 rpm.
rpm10K(3) The rotational speed for this drive is 10000 rpm.
rpm15K(4) The rotational speed for this drive is 15000 rpm.
rpmSsd(5) The drive is made of solid state electronics and does not have a rotational speed.
What is cpqDaPhyDrvRotationalSpeed?
cpqDaPhyDrvRotationalSpeed reports a physical drive's rotational speed: other, rpm7200, rpm10K, rpm15K, or rpmSsd (for drives with no physical rotation). This lets an admin quickly distinguish performance-tier drives within a mixed array, since a 15K RPM drive behaves very differently under load than a 7200 RPM drive. For example, if a logical drive built from mismatched rotational speeds shows uneven performance, an admin would check this value per drive to find the slower outlier.
