Description: Power On Self Test (Post) Error.
The number of times that a physical drive failed its self test during the reference time (phyDrvRefTime).
The physical drive does a self test each time power is applied to the system.
If the value is not supported, it is set to 4,294,967,295.
What is cpqDaPhyDrvPostErrs?
cpqDaPhyDrvPostErrs counts how many times a physical drive failed its own Power-On Self Test, which every drive runs each time the system is powered up. Because POST failures happen at boot before normal operation even begins, a nonzero count is a strong indicator of a hardware fault on that specific drive. For instance, if a server that was just power-cycled reports a POST error on one drive, an admin would treat that drive as suspect even before any read or write activity occurs.
