Description: Drive Not Ready Errors.

The number of times the physical drive failed after the spin up command was issued during the reference time (phyDrvRefTime). When the spin up command was issued, the drive failed to reach its ready state. If the current value is zero, the drive has not failed. If the current value is greater than zero, at least one failure occurred.

This error could be caused because the physical drive has failed to spin.

If you suspect a problem:

1. Check the cables connecting the drive to ensure that they are intact.

2. If the cables are properly connected, schedule server down time to run diagnostics to verify that a problem exists.

What is cpqDaPhyDrvNotReadyErrs?

cpqDaPhyDrvNotReadyErrs counts how many times a physical drive failed to reach its ready state after the controller issued a spin-up command during the reference time window. A value greater than zero means the drive has failed to come ready at least once, which can stem from problems with the drive, its power, or its cabling. For example, if this counter is nonzero after a scheduled reboot, an admin would check that drive's power and data connections before assuming the drive itself is bad.
