Module: CPQIDA-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPQIDA-MIB::cpqDaPhyDrvBadRecvReads

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.29

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description: Recovery Failed (Bad) Read Error.

The number of times a read error occurred while performing Automatic Data Recovery from this physical drive to another drive during the reference time (phyDrvRefTime).

If a read error occurs, Automatic Data Recovery stops. These errors indicate that the physical drive has failed. If you suspect a problem, schedule server down time to run diagnostics to verify that a problem exists.

What is cpqDaPhyDrvBadRecvReads?

cpqDaPhyDrvBadRecvReads counts read errors that occurred while the controller was performing Automatic Data Recovery, copying data from this physical drive onto another drive, during the reference time window. Because a read error during this recovery process halts the recovery outright, any nonzero value here means the source drive itself has effectively failed. For instance, if an admin initiates Automatic Data Recovery after marking a drive degraded and this counter increments, that confirms the recovery attempt stalled and the drive needs replacement rather than reuse.
