Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description: Array Logical Drive Corrected Writes.

This is the total number of write commands sent to the specified logical drive which had to be corrected by fault tolerance. This number is reset each time the device driver is loaded for this logical drive.

If the number of corrected writes is higher than normal for a particular system, check the physical drive screen for abnormal activity. There may be a problem with a drive. If you suspect that a problem exists, schedule server down time to run diagnostics on the monitored system.

What is cpqDaNw3xCorrWrites?

This Counter is the number of write commands to this logical drive that had to be corrected by fault tolerance, reset whenever the driver reloads. An admin watches for abnormal growth in this counter as a sign a physical drive in the array is degrading and needing replacement soon. For example, an unusually high cpqDaNw3xCorrWrites value compared to peer logical drives prompts the admin to check the array's physical drive health before a fatal write occurs.
