OID (symbolic): CPQIDA-MIB::cpqDaNw3xCorrReads

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.1.1.5.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description: Array Logical Drive Corrected Reads.

This is the total number of read commands sent to the specified logical drive which had to be corrected by fault tolerance. This number is reset each time the device driver is loaded for this logical drive.

If the number of corrected reads is higher than normal for a particular system, check the physical drive screen for abnormal activity. There may be a problem with a drive. If you suspect that a problem exists, schedule server down time to run diagnostics on the monitored system.

What is cpqDaNw3xCorrReads?

This Counter is the number of read commands to this logical drive that had to be corrected by fault tolerance, reset whenever the driver reloads. An admin treats a rising count as an early warning to check the physical drive screen for abnormal activity, since it may indicate a failing drive being silently compensated for. For example, if cpqDaNw3xCorrReads climbs steadily on one logical drive, the admin inspects its member physical drives for a disk nearing failure.
