Description: Logical Drive SSD Smart Path Status.
Indicates the logical drive SSD Smart Path status. An SSD Smart Path for a logical drive can be utilized only when both the Smart Array firmware and Smart Array controller driver support such a path.
The following values are defined:
Other (1) Indicates that the instrument agent can not determine the logical drive's SSD Smart Path status.
Update Driver (2) Indicates that an updated Smart Array controller driver is needed in order for the SSD Smart Path to be supported for this logical drive.
SSD Smart Path Disabled(3) Indicates that an SSD Smart Path for this logical drive is disabled. Check Smart Array controller documentation.
SSD Smart Path Enabled(4) Indicates that an SSD Smart path for this logical drive is enabled. The Smart Array controller driver is able to use an SSD Smart Path for this logical drive.
What is cpqDaLogDrvSSDSmartPathStatus?
This enumerated value reports the logical drive's SSD Smart Path status, a performance feature usable only when both firmware and driver support it, as ssdSmartPathEnabled, ssdSmartPathDisabled, or updateDriver. An admin checks this on all-SSD logical drives when expecting the low-latency Smart Path benefit but seeing average performance instead. For example, cpqDaLogDrvSSDSmartPathStatus reporting updateDriver tells the admin the driver needs upgrading before this SSD volume can take advantage of Smart Path acceleration.
