ok (2) The partner array controller is operating properly.

generalFailure (3) The partner array controller is failed.

cableProblem (4) The partner array controller has a cable problem. Please check all cable connections to this controller.

poweredOff (5) The array controller is powered off. Please replace the controller and restore power to the slot.

What is cpqDaCntlrPartnerBoardStatus?

This enumerated value reports the physical health of the partner controller's board in a duplexed pair, similarly distinguishing ok from generalFailure or cableProblem. An admin checks this specifically when troubleshooting a redundant configuration, since a failure here means the backup controller — not the active one — needs service. For example, if the active controller shows ok but cpqDaCntlrPartnerBoardStatus shows generalFailure, the admin knows redundancy has been lost even though production I/O continues uninterrupted.
