cpqDaCntlrBlinkTime
Module: CPQIDA-MIB
OID (symbolic): CPQIDA-MIB::cpqDaCntlrBlinkTime
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.2.1.1.22
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter
Access: read-write
Description: Controller Physical Drive Blink Time Count.
The controller blink time variable allows the drive tray LEDs of all physical drives attached to this controller to blink. This value indicates the amount of time, in tenths of a second, that the physical drive LEDs will continue to blink. A value of zero indicates the drive LEDs are not blinking. If the value cannot be determined or no drive on this controller is in a hot plug tray, 4,294,967,295 is returned.
To blink the drive LEDs on all physical drives attached to this controller, set this value to the time to blink in tenths of seconds.
To stop the drive LEDs from blinking, set this value to 0.
What is cpqDaCntlrBlinkTime?
This read-write Counter controls how long, in tenths of a second, the drive tray LEDs of every physical drive on this controller continue blinking, with zero meaning the LEDs are not currently blinking. An admin writes a nonzero value here to make a technician physically locate the correct drive tray in a rack full of similar-looking enclosures. For example, setting cpqDaCntlrBlinkTime to 600 makes all drive bay LEDs on that controller blink for one minute so a technician can find the right chassis.
