Module: CPQFCA-MIB
OID (symbolic): CPQFCA-MIB::cpqFcaCntlrBlinkTime
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.16.2.2.1.1.13
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter
Access: read-write
Description: External Array Controller Physical Drive Blink Time Count.
The controller blink time variable allows the drive tray LEDs of all physical drives attached to this controller to blink. This value indicates the amount of time, in tenths of a second, that the physical drive LEDs will continue to blink. A value of zero indicates the drive LEDs are not blinking. If the value cannot be determined or no drive on this controller is in a hot plug tray, 4,294,967,295 is returned.
To blink the drive LEDs on all physical drives attached to this controller, set this value to the time to blink in tenths of seconds.
To stop the drive LEDs from blinking, set this value to 0.
What is cpqFcaCntlrBlinkTime?
This read-write counter controls how long, in tenths of a second, the drive tray LEDs of all physical drives attached to this Fibre Channel controller will continue blinking, with zero meaning the LEDs are not currently blinking. An administrator sets this to a nonzero value to make the controller's attached drives blink so a technician can physically locate the correct storage box in a data center full of similar enclosures. Setting this to 300 (30 seconds) before walking to the data center floor would let a technician immediately spot which physical drive tray belongs to this controller.
