Redundancy status denotes the presence of internal redundant components such as fans, power supplies, etc. The library redundancy can be in one of the following states:
other(1) The library redundancy status is unknown.
notSupported(2) Indicates that the library cannot detect or report redundancy status.
capable(3) Indicates that the library is capable of detecting and reporting redundant components but there are not enough redundant units installed to make redundancy active.
notCapable(4) Indicates that the library is capable of detecting and reporting redundant components but there are no components that support redundancy.
active(5) Indicates that the library is capable of detecting and reporting redundant components, there are enough redundant units installed, and redundancy is active.
What is cpqFcTapeLibraryRedundancy?
This enumerated value reports the redundancy status of internal components such as fans and power supplies in the tape library, as other, notSupported, capable, notCapable, or active. An admin checks this to know whether the library can tolerate a single internal component failure without an outage. For example, notCapable(4) tells the admin this particular library has no redundant internal power or cooling, making any single component failure a potential full outage.
