Module: CME-MIB

OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::rearLEDCardHardwareVpdHardwareRevision

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.2.21.9.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Rear LED card hardware VPD hardware revision. For consistent results, view as a table and not as individual entries. If a hardware revision is programmed in the OEM VPD area for this component, then the HardwareRevisionString version of this MIB object should be used.

What is rearLEDCardHardwareVpdHardwareRevision?

This INTEGER is the numeric hardware revision level recorded for the rear LED/status-indicator card mounted at the back of the chassis, falling back to the string-format HardwareRevisionString object whenever the OEM has programmed a revision into that string field instead. An admin polls this quick numeric value first when scripting a fleet-wide revision check, only decoding the string object if this one turns out to be unprogrammed or ambiguous. For example, an admin checks rearLEDCardHardwareVpdHardwareRevision to confirm whether the installed rear LED card is new enough to support an additional status color introduced in a later revision.
