Description: Blade Wake On LAN enablement status. If WOL is not supported by the blade, it displays 'notApplicable' and WOL can not be enabled or disabled.
What is policyWakeOnLanControlEnable?
This writable enum controls whether Wake On LAN is enabled, disabled, or not applicable for a blade in the power-policy table, automatically showing notApplicable and refusing to be set if the blade doesn't support WOL. It matters for remote power-on workflows, since WOL lets an admin power on an otherwise-off blade over the network without physically visiting the chassis. An admin building an automated overnight-patch-then-power-off/power-on-in-morning workflow would first confirm policyWakeOnLanControlEnable isn't notApplicable(255) before relying on WOL for that blade.
