This read-create object sets the maximum number of {group,interface} pairs for which the DC-PIM TIB Manager may store (*,G,I) state, i.e. per-interface group membership state, with zero meaning no limit. An admin uses this to control how much interface-specific multicast state a device with many receiver-facing ports can accumulate. For example, an admin on an access switch with many multicast-subscribing ports would size this to match expected concurrent group memberships per port.
