Description: The number of valid PIM Register messages that have been received by this DC-PIM Neighbor Manager entity.
What is rlPimNmEntStatsNumRecvRegister?
This read-only counter counts the valid PIM Register messages this DC-PIM Neighbor Manager entity has received, i.e. source traffic encapsulated by a DR and sent to this router acting as RP. An admin monitoring this counter on an RP can verify that designated routers are successfully registering new multicast sources with it. For example, a jump in this counter coincides with a new video source coming online elsewhere in the multicast domain.
