Description: The number of PIM messages with a known but unsupported PIM message type that have been received by this DC-PIM Neighbor Manager entity.
What is rlPimNmEntStatsNumRecvIgnoredType?
This read-only counter counts PIM messages received by this DC-PIM Neighbor Manager entity whose message type is recognized by the PIM specification but not implemented on this platform. An admin can use this to detect when a neighboring router is using a PIM feature or message type this device does not support. For example, a nonzero and growing value could reveal that a newer PIM extension is being sent by a neighbor that this switch's firmware doesn't yet handle.
