Description: The Autonomous System Number of the Next Hop. The semantics of this object are determined by the routing- protocol specified in the route's rlInternInetCidrRouteProto value. When this object is unknown or not relevant, its value should be set to zero.
What is rlInternInetCidrRouteNextHopAS?
This read-only value reports the Autonomous System number of the next hop for an internal CIDR route, with a value of zero when the field is unknown or not relevant to the learning protocol. An admin uses it in BGP-influenced routing to identify which AS the next hop belongs to. For example, a nonzero value here on a BGP-learned route helps the admin trace which upstream AS is providing that path.
