What is rlNbrBindingIntegrityActivePolicyDeviceRole?
This read-only INTEGER (perimeter(1), internal(2)) reports the effective device role currently enforced by Neighbor Binding Integrity on a port or VLAN, already resolved to an actual value unlike the policy table's unspecified(-1) option. An admin cares because it tells you outright whether that interface is currently being treated as an untrusted edge point (with stricter checks) or a trusted internal one. For example, seeing perimeter(1) here for a port confirms it is currently subject to the stricter edge-facing binding checks.
