rlAutoSmartPortMacrosParamOrder

Module: CISCOSB-EVENTS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-EVENTS-MIB::rlAutoSmartPortMacrosParamOrder

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.150.1.7.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: SmartPortMacroParameterOrder

Access: read-write

Description: Setting this object to 'first' instructs the system to erase all previous information associated with the rlAutoSmartPortTypesType and rlAutoSmartPortMacroType associated with this conceptual row. Setting this object to 'middle' instructs the system to wait for further parameters. Setting this object to 'last' informs the system that no further parameters will be sent and therefore it can start the macro or builtin parameters change process. Setting this object to 'single' instructs the system to erase all previous information associated with the rlAutoSmartPortTypesType and rlAutoSmartPortMacroType associated with this conceptual row and informs the system that no further parameters will be sent and therefore it can start macro or builtin parameters change process.

What is rlAutoSmartPortMacrosParamOrder?

This read-write value sequences a multi-step parameter submission process for smart port macros, with settings for first to erase prior data, middle to wait for more, and last to apply the change. Management software uses this ordering to safely send multiple macro parameters to the switch in a controlled sequence before triggering the actual macro update. For example, an SNMP management tool would set this to first before sending the first parameter, middle while sending additional parameters, and last to signal the switch to finally apply the complete macro parameter set.
