p2mpDiversityAntennaPresent

Module: CISCO-WIRELESS-P2MP-PHY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WIRELESS-P2MP-PHY-MIB::p2mpDiversityAntennaPresent

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.170.1.1.1.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: When true(1), this object indicates that a diversity antenna is being used to receive the wireless transmissions. When false(2), the radio system is using a single antenna to transmit and receive.

What is p2mpDiversityAntennaPresent?

A read-write TruthValue indicating whether the radio system is using a diversity antenna to receive transmissions when true, or relying on a single antenna for both transmit and receive when false. This setting tells the device, and any management application, whether to expect and interpret the separate diversity-antenna receive-power statistics elsewhere in the MIB, or whether those would be meaningless on a single-antenna setup. For example, on a site where only one antenna was actually installed, an admin would set p2mpDiversityAntennaPresent to false so the device does not attempt to report or alarm on a nonexistent diversity antenna's receive power.
