p2mpCableLossDiversity
Module: CISCO-WIRELESS-P2MP-PHY-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-WIRELESS-P2MP-PHY-MIB::p2mpCableLossDiversity
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.170.1.1.1.1.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Unsigned32
Access: read-write
Description: This object indicates the measured signal power loss in dB due to the cable connecting the radio to the diversity antenna. The hardware compensates for this loss by adjusting the receive and transmit gain appropriately. A value of 0 indicates no degradation in the signal due to the cable. The radio hardware can compensate for a cable loss of no more than 15 dB. This cable loss applies to the diversity antenna only.
What is p2mpCableLossDiversity?
A read-write Unsigned32 (0..15 dB) recording the measured signal power loss due to the cable connecting the radio to the diversity antenna, which the hardware uses to compensate receive and transmit gain for that path. Like its main-antenna counterpart, an incorrect value here would cause the diversity antenna's gain compensation to be off, potentially making that antenna appear worse than the main antenna even if it is physically fine. For example, if the diversity antenna's cable run is longer than the main antenna's, p2mpCableLossDiversity needs its own correspondingly higher value rather than simply copying whatever was set for p2mpCableLoss.
